Sr. Finance Manager

Element has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our growing team. The Senior Finance Manager will be the business partner for Element’s North America IoT Division responsible for maximizing performance of the division driving organic growth through productivity improvements, margin evolution and capital expenditure investments. In addition, leading planning and forecasting activities and managing month-end close and other reporting requirements. Element is a global provider of lab-based Testing, Inspection and Certification services, powering confident decisions in the most highly-regulated industries. Responsibilities Business partnering for Division Director and General Managers through a deep understanding of their business challenges and opportunities Monitor business performance improvement, challenging the management team through detailed financial analysis and recommendations in areas such as margin and productivity Production of accurate and meaningful monthly reports and management information, adhering to reporting requirements Proactively guide, support and challenge the Operational & Commercial teams to enhance performance, share insight and devise both strategic and tactical plans Lead the ongoing business cycle of budgeting, re-forecasting, monitoring and delivering against targets and timelines for the division Lead capital expenditure process ensuring timely and quality requests are progressed, expenditure is tracked and financial returns monitored Play an instrumental role in supporting and evaluating appropriate initiatives to maximize EBITDA Assure governance of the business including compliance with Element processes, procedures, control environment including delegation of authority framework Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum seven (7) years’ experience in accounting and/or finance, with a mix of both preferred. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and forecasting principles in order to make educated decisions Demonstrated experience in partnering with a dynamic commercial structure to drive results throughout the revenue process Experience in budget and forecasting cycles, including preparation and presentation of work products Experience at a strategic or corporate level in performance monitoring and reporting, strategic and business planning and supporting organizational change Strong written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to interpret, disseminate and present information to a variety of internal and external audiences in a way that informs and influences their decision making Experience establishing and developing performance monitoring tools and reports for different audiences Proven ability to think and plan strategically and achieve buy-in from the senior leaders in the organization Experience working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Able to work in partnership with people at all levels, demonstrating strong skills in constructive, challenge, facilitation, collaboration, networking and influencing Strong analytical and organizational skills including the ability to balance and independently manage workload that includes multiple concurrent priorities. Self-motivated, able to set and deliver to deadlines Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel in particular). Experience with OneStream a plus Ability to demonstrate credibility and proven success in driving operational improvement as a value added partner An emotionally intelligent professional with excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed influencing and communication skills Comfortable with working as part of a team and able to fit seamlessly into a team environment Broad commercial understanding with the intellectual capability to develop ideas and translate into workable objectives and plans Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
