Senior Product Manager

ICON is hiring a Senior Product Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver BuildOS: our software platform for design, construction planning, print execution, and fleet management, used by architects, project managers, and construction operators. In this role, you will apply strong product and program management skills to keep a multi‑module software team focused, organized, and on schedule. You will run day‑to‑day delivery, partner with engineering leads, and connect the software team with robotics, field operations, and business development. You will share clear status with leadership, raise risks early, and help shape what gets built next. This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX office and reports to the Director of Digital Product Experience. Responsibilities Plan sprints, track progress, and coordinate releases with the engineering team. Run standups, epic reviews, and retrospectives that stay focused and useful. Keep Jira plans, capacity, epic status, and risk logs current. Send weekly updates that give leadership a clear picture without follow‑up questions. Spot blockers early and help resolve them. Coordinate work across software, robotics, field operations, and business development. Speak up for the team's capacity in cross‑team planning. Help the team respond to requests from active construction projects without losing focus on planned work. Sort what is urgent, what can wait, and who needs to weigh in. Work with the Director of Digital Product Experience to shape the roadmap and make trade‑offs. Bring real delivery data into planning conversations. Help break large goals into sprint‑ready work with engineering leads. Track what is slipping, what is blocked, and what needs a decision. Share options clearly so leaders can move quickly. Model capacity, sequence work, and check timelines during quarterly planning. Watch for workload that may lead to burnout and raise it early. Improve practices that slow the team down. Onboard new team members into how the team plans and ships. Coach other program managers and partners on planning practices that work. Advise cross‑functional partners on delivery and prioritization questions. Connect team work to company‑wide Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) so the day‑to‑day moves bigger goals forward. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years in product management, technical program management, or a hybrid role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. Track record running delivery for a software product with multiple teams or modules. Strong fluency with Jira or similar tools. You have managed backlogs, sprint plans, and roadmaps at scale. Experience coordinating work between software and hardware, operations, or field teams. Clear communication across audiences. You can share a short update with a VP and dig into scope with an engineer in the same hour. A history of protecting team capacity while keeping partner trust. Comfort with shifting priorities. Construction work does not wait for a sprint to end. Working knowledge of agile practices. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to explain delivery status and trade‑offs to non‑technical audiences and senior leaders. Curiosity and a steady appetite to learn. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience in construction technology, robotics, manufacturing, or another physical‑product field. Background in technical program management at a growing company. Familiarity with construction workflows, BIM tools, or field operations software. Experience with government or defense contracts and their compliance needs. Experience with products used in the field rather than at a desk, and the design choices that come with that. Experience modeling capacity for small and mid‑size teams.
