Position Details

Position Title: Quality Analyst

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Position Status: Contract (Full-Time)

Position Description

We are seeking a Quality Analyst with a strong background in business and quality analysis, automation testing, and process improvement to support a high‑impact project for a New York City agency. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands‑on experience with leading QA tools and automation frameworks and a proven ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.

In this role, you will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure applications meet business requirements, regulatory mandates, and user experience goals. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure every release meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts for applications and workflows.
• Conduct end‑to‑end functional testing to validate that systems align with defined business rules and logic.
• Ensure form generation and deployment align with multi‑language accessibility requirements (LL30 mandate).
• Create and manage test cases, RTM matrices, and test documentation aligned with user stories and system requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of application specifications.
• Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues using QA tracking tools.
• Analyze existing systems and recommend enhancements and process improvements based on testing insights.
• Provide detailed QA reports and ensure all testing deliverables are completed on schedule.

Required Skills / Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Business Analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with QA and BA tools such as JIRA, Balsamiq, and MS Visio.
• Proven experience with automation and testing frameworks such as QTP, WinRunner, Visual Studio, Selenium, LoadRunner, and JMeter.
• Strong SQL skills for test data setup and backend validation.
• Demonstrated ability to create, execute, and manage automation scripts for complex workflows.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities within cross‑functional teams.
