Role Description The Staff Accountant is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Fresno, CA. This role is responsible for supporting monthly close processes, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports. The Staff Accountant assists with tax preparation, required filings, and audit support, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Day‑to‑day work includes maintaining general ledger accounts, analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and collaborating with senior team members to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. The role also involves communicating with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify financial information and support advisory engagements. Qualifications Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Proficiency in tax‑related work such as basic tax preparation, support for required filings, and coordination of audit documentation. Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and contribute to process improvement and cash‑flow visibility. Comfort working with accounting software, spreadsheets, and related technology tools to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, leadership, and clients in a professional manner. Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, including handling multiple deadlines and maintaining attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward or interest in CPA licensure is preferred.
