Career Opportunities with Bailey Veterinary Clinic Bailey Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We need a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment, balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands‑on procedural support. Responsibilities Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery. Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography. Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation. Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately. Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital. Schedule and Compensation Compensation: $24-27 per hour, for each hour worked. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule and availability generally needed Monday‑Sunday. Benefits Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good‑standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Oregon. CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials. Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set Active and good‑standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon. 3+ years of experience as a CVT. Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring. Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery. Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography. Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement. Medication administration and accurate drug calculations. Laboratory sample collection and in‑house diagnostic testing. Accurate medical record documentation. Safe, low‑stress patient handling and restraint techniques. Client education and communication. Effective teamwork and professional communication skills. Commitment to high‑quality patient care and continuous learning. Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out‑of‑state license‑holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.
