Full-time Liquor Store Team Member

Come join the crew at Northbound Liquor Store! The City of Elk River is seeking candidates for a fulltime Liquor Store Team Member position. The FT Liquor Store Team Member serves as a cashier and a stock handler. This is a 40 hour/week position and eligible for benefits. The expected starting wage is $24.45 an hour. (2026 salary range $24.45-$32.60/hr.)

Position Summary: The Full-time Liquor Store Team Member serves as a cashier, stock handler, and inventory.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs cashier duties.
2. Performs inventory management activities.
3. Performs other Liquor Store duties.
4. Performs other essential job duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of state and local liquor laws.
• Skill in operating a cash register and 10-key calculator.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to quickly and accurately make change.
• Ability to communicate with the public.
• Ability to attend seminars and classes as directed.
• Ability to work a variety of hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to learn and operate computer based inventory management system.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year retail cashier experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Municipal Liquor Store experience.
• Retail point of sale experience.
• Retail Inventory Experience.
• Forklift operator certified.

Work Schedule: This is a 40 hour per week position. Hours of work will be 3 - 4 evenings (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), 2 - 3 mid-shifts (10:00/11:00 a.m. to 6:00/7:00 p.m.), and Sundays as needed. Availability on holidays is also required. Employees must be flexible to work based on business needs.
