About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (05:00 - 13:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sterile processing License: Required certifications include CBSPD or CRCST Certifications: CBSPD, CRCST, or equivalent Must-Have: Experience with decontamination, sterilization processes, high-level disinfection, and sterile storage Description: We are seeking candidates who are experienced in all areas of sterile processing. Responsibilities include the decontamination of all items, such as drills, scopes, and surgical instruments. Candidates should be familiar with the sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam methods. High-level disinfection and experience with scopes is essential. The candidate will also manage sterile storage and act as a liaison with the operating room. Familiarity with Censitrac tracking systems is required. Duties involve moving case carts, separating dirty instruments, and filling case cart needs for upcoming surgeries. The candidate will take operating room calls for all floors of surgery. Travelers must comply with strict credentialing and fingerprinting requirements. Reference documentation from professional sources is necessary. Two professional references are required, including at least one from a manager or supervisor.
