CMM Programmer

Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM

Position Summary
CMM Programmer reports to the Gage Lab Manager and is primarily responsible for the performance of first article, in-process and final inspection of machined parts production hardware. The incumbent must have practical experience and working knowledge of quality assurance concepts and inspection methods and techniques. This position requires the ability to read and accurately interpret customer
engineering drawings, electronic model-based definitions and specifications and to apply that interpretation to the manufacture/fabrication of production hardware. The position requires familiarity with IGES electronic model translation and PC-DMIS 2019 or Higher.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced computer knowledge in PC-DMIS, JMP Statical and or Minitab 17 Statical Software is a plus.
• Experience in machining shop operations with various alloys desired.
• Knowledge of measurements of different types of materials with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Knowledge of standard shop safety practices.
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP System.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ CMM programming / operation experience working in an aerospace (or similar)
  machining environment with PC-DMIS for CMM with indexing heads and Laser Heads.
• Understanding knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, MSA, control plans,
  Lean/Six Sigma).
• Experience with AS9100 or other quality management systems.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings
• Handson experience in a manufacturing environment.

Need to be familiar with the following

• One of the following CMM software
  • PCDMIS – Hexagon Software for CMM / Laser Tracker / Arms
  • Calypso – Zeiss CMM Software(Hexagon main competitor)
  • Polyworks – Similar software, primarily for 3d reverse engineering but it can do similar inspections
• ASME Y14.5 – GD&T Standard or ISO GPS which is the ISO equivalent
• Calibration software such as Gagetrak, Gagepack, Blue Mountain, etc.

US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.
