Montvale, NJ $90,000 - $100,000 Full-time We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our thriving construction company based in Montvale, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and bookkeeping, with a focus on the unique needs of a construction business. As the Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the construction projects and company operations.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Monitor and track project costs, expenses, and budgets.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate financial data for project-related expenses.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records related to compensation and benefits.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for audits and tax purposes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to construction financial management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and project cost tracking.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing financial scenarios.
