Job Description Kelloggsville Middle School Effective: 2026-27 School Year Education/Qualifications: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with DI Endorsement Bilingual skills preferred; Duties/Skills/Qualifications: Ability to teach students the knowledge and skills utilizing the district's designated curriculum and other appropriate learning activities; Good attendance and punctuality; Ability to design, plan and implement lessons based on school, district, state, and/or national standards; Knowledge of current teaching methods that includes multiple teaching strategies; High level of organizational skills and ability to establish and maintain effective classroom management for learning; Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students; Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students; Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community; Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others; Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District; Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage; Compensation/Working Conditions: Per KEA Master Agreement We are committed to hiring talented employees to enhance the district's stance and focus on equity and inclusion for all students, employees, parents, and community members of Kelloggsville.
