Machinist II

HiFyve is hiring a Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!

Pay Rate: $32/hr

Location: Plymouth, MN

Shift: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate one or more machine tools with minimal supervision

Operate machines efficiently and accurately

Maintain current setup sheets and program files

Instruct and support less skilled operators

Perform finishing work such as deburring and parts washing

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Demonstrate company core values including accountability, integrity, and service excellence

Education Requirements:

Associate degree in Machining with 3-5 years of experience in a general machine shop environment

OR

Equivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency using general measuring instruments

Ability to perform basic machine setups independently

Understanding of speeds, feeds, and machining fundamentals

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to train and guide less experienced operators

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods

Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materials

Occasional walking, talking, and hearing

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally

Visual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
