Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Description

Our client in New York is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This non-operative role primarily involves inpatient medicine with a cardiology focus, managing duties such as central and arterial line placements, chest tube management, CT removals, and wound vac changes. The schedule is anticipated to be 8a-5p, though exact times are pending.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform central line placements
• Perform arterial line placements
• Manage chest tube placement and removal
• Conduct CT removals
• Execute wound vac changes
• Focus on inpatient medicine with a cardiology emphasis
• This is a non-operative role, no OR experience is required
• ICU/critical care experience is accepted, with cardiac critical care preferred

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required
