Ensures vendor contracts are in compliance with applicable state and federal law, rules and regulations as well as U.S. Bank policies. Supports Business Line and Corporate Procurement assigned initiatives by drafting and negotiating the contract terms and conditions as well as advising business lines on risk decisions related to the contract. Job scope and complexity of assignments are broad and very complex. Requires the ability to improvise and respond to contractual language questions, provide creative solutions to resolve conflict with vendors, effectively balance working on multiple projects at one time while successfully meeting tight deadlines.The Procurement Business Line is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Contract Services professional responsible for leading contract negotiation, third-party risk alignment, and end-to-end contract lifecycle management.This role operates across the organization to negotiate contracts, mitigate risk, and deliver business outcomes, while overseeing Contract Services workflows and ensuring efficient, high-quality delivery across engagements. The individual partners closely with Business Lines and Third-Party Vendors and facilitates contract reviews through key stakeholders including Procurement, Risk, Legal, and Finance.This position serves as a trusted advisor to business and procurement leadership, providing guidance on contractual, sourcing, and risk matters while ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory expectations, and procurement best practices.Job Functions: Contracting and NegotiationLead and manage contract negotiations, including ownership of redline review and resolutionAnalyze contractual terms to identify, escalate, and remediate risk issuesOversee the full contract lifecycle, including: drafting, negotiation, approvals execution, reposit, and ongoing managementEnsure contracts are accurately maintained and governed within the enterprise contract management systemsProcurement and Risk AlignmentPartner with Procurement Sourcing teams to support sourcing strategies and commercial terms within contractsCollaborate with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure appropriate controls and contractual protectionsEnsure alignment with procurement policies, procedures, and leading practicesSupport audits, quality assurance, and ongoing process and policy improvementsBusiness Partnership and AdvisoryServe as the primary point of contact for assigned business units and vendor engagementsProvide procurement and contract advisory support to internal stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong relationships across business lines, sourcing teams, and third-party vendorsIdentify opportunities to drive enterprise contract leverage and improve internal customer engagementOperations and Process ManagementManage and coordinate contract workflows across multiple engagements and stakeholdersDrive process optimization, quality assurance, and operational efficiencySupport and coordinate updates to contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and systemsBalance workload and priorities to ensure timely delivery and effective resource utilizationPreferred QualificationsJD or relevant professional certificationStrong experience in contract negotiation and procurement practicesThird-Party Risk Management (TPRM) experienceKnowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and sourcing processesPreferred Skills & ExperienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships across all levelsStrong time management and ability to manage competing prioritiesDemonstrated project management and leadership skillsExperience with tools such as Archer eGRC, Agiloft, and MS Office SuiteFinancial, audit, and regulatory awarenessBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceFive or more years of experience in procurement contract administration activitiesLocation ExpectationsThis role is hybrid.
