We’re looking for a hands-on Customer Insights Team Lead who can turn complex data into meaningful customer and business insights. This role combines advanced SQL, analytical problem-solving, marketing knowledge, and informal team leadership to support customer strategy, marketing performance, and go-to-market initiatives. You’ll report to the AVP of Client Strategy and partner closely with the Business Data Analyst team to translate data into clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and measurable business outcomes.

What you will be responsible for:

• Partner with the AVP of Client Strategy to prioritize projects, analyze business needs, and support customer and go-to-market initiatives.
• Lead complex data analyses related to customer strategy, marketing performance, ROI, and business growth.
• Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and data quality.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights, narratives, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Support customer presentations, QBRs, and strategic initiatives by identifying trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
• Provide guidance to Business Data Analysts, establish best practices, and help prioritize incoming requests and team resources.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting and analytical processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Operations, and other teams to support business objectives.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI, that can improve analytical workflows and outcomes.

Annual base starting salary: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience conducting complex data analysis and translating findings into actionable business or customer recommendations.
• Strong, hands-on SQL skills with experience extracting and analyzing data from large databases.
• Experience working with customer, marketing, business, or operational data.
• Understanding of marketing concepts and KPIs, such as digital advertising, lead management, email marketing, lifecycle marketing, website conversion, and campaign performance.
• Ability to turn data into a clear narrative and communicate insights effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen skills, with the ability to connect findings to customer and business outcomes.
• Experience guiding, mentoring, or establishing best practices for analysts or other team members.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Operations.
• Experience in automotive, dealership data, marketing technology, CRM, marketing automation, or CDP environments is preferred.
• Experience with Python or R, reporting automation, customer presentations, QBRs, or AI-enabled workflows is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform extensive computer work, both of which are key aspects of this role.
• Ability to perform job duties from a home office, when applicable, utilizing necessary technology and maintaining productivity.
• Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job to ensure consistent workflow and communication.
