We are a thriving design build commercial construction company founded in 1977 and we want you to join our team. We are currently accepting applications for Union Laborers. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of construction experience and possess a collaborative work ethic, being able to work both in a team and independently on occasion. We are looking for individuals who are eager to develop and apply their skills in ways that make a positive impact to our local communities. S+B James Construction has been setting the standard for excellence in healthcare, education, life sciences, commercial, retail, industrial, and public works construction in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Work Description: Provide support and assistance to the other skilled crafts working on the project. Laborers provide support for the carpenters and for the concrete operation in general installation.
- Report safety, customer or quality concerns.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Perform duties as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement.
- Safely unload and stage material at job site
Job Requirements:
- Belong to local union with current membership
- Background check may be required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
- Occasional out-of-town travel
- Drug screening per union requirements.
- Dependable and punctual
