Operations Manager at Lucky Arrow Retreat - Dripping Springs, Texas Position Summary Lucky Arrow Retreat is seeking a highly organized, hands‑on Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our resort. This role owns the guest experience end to end — from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance — and is accountable for keeping the property running smoothly, safely, and up to Lucky Arrow brand standards. The Operations Manager leads the Facilities Manager and Front Desk Associate directly, with indirect oversight of the Housekeeping, Groundskeeping, and Laundry teams through the Facilities Manager. Reports To: General Manager & Property Ownership Direct Reports: Facilities Manager, Front Desk Associates Indirect Reports (via Facilities Manager): Housekeeping, Groundsmen, Laundry Attendant Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Daily Operations Own the overall guest experience across the property, ensuring every touchpoint — check‑in, common areas, events, guest communications — meets Lucky Arrow's brand standards. Respond to escalated guest feedback and service recovery situations that Front Desk cannot resolve independently. Ensure open/close procedures, PMS management, and daily service standards are consistently executed. Staff Leadership & Scheduling Build and manage staff schedules across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Groundskeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance to ensure appropriate coverage for occupancy and events. Lead, coach, and hold direct reports (Facilities Manager, Front Desk Associate) accountable to their scorecards and standards, cascading accountability through their teams. Facilities, Housekeeping & Grounds Oversight Partner with the Facilities Manager to ensure cabins, communal spaces, pools, grounds, and amenities are maintained to brand standard. Oversee preventive maintenance and landscaping schedules, equipment troubleshooting/repair, and materials ordering for maintenance. Ensure housekeeping and laundry operations run efficiently and issues are escalated and resolved quickly. General Store & Inventory Oversee general store merchandise selection and inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating with Front Desk on point‑of‑sale and replenishment needs. Group Events Oversee group event logistics from booking through execution, including event administration, setup coordination with Groundsmen/Facilities, and on‑site supervision to ensure events run smoothly and meet client expectations. Vendor & Contract Management Establish and manage vendor relationships and contracts (maintenance, landscaping, supplies, laundry chemicals, etc.). Review vendor invoices for accuracy prior to approving payment. Negotiate terms and evaluate vendor performance to control costs and ensure service quality. Technology & IT Serve as the point of administration for property technology systems, including the PMS, resort pass/calendar system, and general IT troubleshooting for on‑site staff. Marketing Execution Coordinate with Facilities and Front Desk teams to execute on‑property marketing and programming initiatives (e.g., event promotion, signage, guest‑facing communications). Qualifications 5+ years of experience in hospitality, resort, or property operations management, including direct supervisory experience Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional teams Strong working knowledge of PMS systems and general office/IT tools Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment Ideal Candidate Traits Proactive, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑driven, with a bias toward action.
