Make a real impact supporting students’ success as a school psychologist working with middle and high school populations near Bryson City, NC. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic educational environment, collaborating closely with school teams to foster student growth and well-being. You will engage directly with students and staff onsite, with flexibility to handle report writing at home as scheduling permits.
Key Qualifications:
- Current NCP license
- Active School Psychologist license from the Department of Education
- Proven experience conducting evaluations and triennials
- Comfortable supporting middle and high school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite for assessments, meetings, and consultations (with remote flexibility for report writing, depending on testing and meeting needs)
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations (triennials)
- Interpret assessment results and develop clear, actionable reports
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student learning and mental health
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss evaluation outcomes and programming recommendations
- Consult with educational staff to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of students
- Adhere to all legal and ethical requirements in school psychology
