Admissions Coordinator
The George Washington University Law School is seeking an Admissions Coordinator that provides technical, operational, and administrative support for Law School admissions recruitment and enrollment management initiatives. This position assists in coordinating key administrative and recruitment functions, processing admissions applicant data, and serves as a first point of contact for JD prospective students and visitors. This role supports the efficient operation of the admissions office by managing the processing of all transfer and visitor applications, coordinating communications, and performing daily administrative operations. This role collaborates with the Records Office, Career Office, the Field Placement Office, and the Dean of Students Office to facilitate a smooth enrollment process for incoming students.
Key responsibilities include generating, compiling, and distributing weekly statistical reports to support admissions tracking, recruitment planning, and enrollment management activities. The role also involves processing admissions applicant documents within the admissions system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and procedural compliance. Additionally, the Admissions Coordinator manages the end-to-end processing of transfer and visiting student applications, reviews application materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, and serves as a primary point of contact for transfer and visiting applicants.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience in program and event coordination, data reporting and record management experience, customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, experience providing recruitment and enrollment support, organizational and communication skills.

Campus location is Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. The job is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a work schedule of 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday. The job requires the employee to work on site with a hybrid onsite status and yes for telework. Required background check includes criminal history screening, education/degree/certifications verification, social security number trace, and sex offender registry search.
