Production Supervisor - 1st shift

Production SupervisorReporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and directing daily production operations. Tasked with managing and supervising the production team and processes, the Production Supervisor ensures the efficient execution of production scheduled while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing team in a continuous improvement environmentChampion Continuous Improvement projects and offer leadership support in developing, implementing, and sustaining process and cost improvement activitiesLead and facilitate training initiatives to ensure a safe work environment, emphasizing adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of personal protectiveAssign tasks effectively among department personnel and monitor their performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to production schedulesEnsure the smooth and safe operation of all equipment within the assigned areas of responsibilityHandles employee call-ins and documenting appropriatelyTakes ownership of production schedulesParticipates in planning meetings, recommends space, personnel, and equipment requirements.Collaborates with Project Managers, Engineers and Procurement providing timely and accurate feedback informationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
