Your primary responsibilities include managing front desk operations, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.Winning skills and behaviors for successEssential Job DutiesGreet and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming and organized front desk environment.Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering provider availability and patient preferences.Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring effective communication.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy standards.Verify patient insurance information, explain coverage details, and assist in resolving any related issues.Collaborate with the billing department to address patient billing inquiries and provide clarification on financial matters.Advocate for patients' needs and concerns, escalating issues when necessary to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.Collaborate with the broader healthcare team to ensure a coordinated and patient-focused approach to care.Maintain high-quality service standards, actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.Review MyChart appointments and follow up with patients.This job description is not all-inclusive and outlines the main responsibilities and requirements of the role. Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare processes.Technical Experience: Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.Soft Skills: Compassionate and patient-centered approach. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Adaptability and ability to handle stressful situations with composure. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
