Sterile Processing Tech

This position is for a Sterile Processing Tech working in surgical services. The shift is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Rotating weekends are required. All techs will have to take call at least once every two months, starting from Saturday morning until Monday morning. First-timers will not be accepted. Candidates should have experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping in sterile processing. Experience in scope reprocessing is also required. Preferred experience includes neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases. Candidates must hold the required national certifications in CBSPD and/or HSPA. BLS certification is not required. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be provided at the time of submission; no requests will be approved after the contract is signed. The facility reserves the right to call off one shift every two weeks. During hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should consider this potential assignment when confirming their commitment.
