Facilities Maintenance TechnicianRochester Academy Charter School is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities include:Providing general and detailed maintenance, including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required.Providing general landscaping maintenance, including grass cutting, bush trimming, and other miscellaneous landscaping needs.Perform snow and ice removal on sidewalks, entryways, and roofs. This responsibility requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings or late nights, to ensure the facility is safe before business hours.Remove snow and apply salt using the school truck.Serve as a backup custodian when regular personnel are absent. This includes performing daily custodian, janitorial, and cleaning work across all buildings as needed. Duties include vacuuming, spot cleaning, and/or shampooing rugs, carpets, and furniture, as well as sweeping, mopping, polishing, and stripping floors in rooms and halls.Utilize insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests.Report major damages and oversee repairs.Execute other maintenance and custodial duties as assigned by the facility manager or school leadership to support campus operation.RACS offers full benefits to employees, including health and dental benefits.
