Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred License: Must possess a valid state license Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, RRT Must-Have: Previous charge experience is preferred Description:
RRT position requires experience in adult critical care.
Candidates should be skilled in aerosol setup for masks and tracheostomy.
Experience with medications such as Albuterol and Atrovent is necessary.
Assisting in high-risk delivery and performing basic EKG interpretation are required.
Proficiency in BiPAP, CPAP, and various ventilator settings is essential.
Interpretation of arterial blood gases is expected.
Candidates must have experience with intubation assistance and nasopharyngeal airway placement.
Familiarity with bronchoscopy and extubation procedures is desired.
Understanding of high-frequency jet ventilator and high-frequency oscillator is a plus.
Experience in the ICU setting is preferred.
Weekend work is required, approximately 2-3 weekends every 6 weeks.
On-call duty may be required.
Floating within the service line will be necessary to meet facility needs.
Compliance with vaccination requirements is mandatory.
Attendance is important, and quick learning is preferred for this role.
