Aerospace Inspector 3rd Shift

Aerospace Inspector Job Description Summary. Your work will contribute to the production of advanced jet engines, components, and integrated systems that power commercial and military aircraft. The position pays $22.75 per hour plus experience-based increases and an additional $1.50 premium pay for 3rd shift. Role Overview This role is responsible for performing preliminary, in‑process, and final inspections on aerospace components in accordance with new‑make engine manuals or FAA‑approved technical data. It plays a key role in ensuring airworthiness, quality, and on‑time delivery for critical engine components. Responsibilities Perform preliminary, in‑process, and final inspections. Inspect parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance to specifications. Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, measurement instruments, and manually examine parts. Interpret OEM manuals, blueprints, and applicable FAA‑approved technical data. Complete inspection documentation, including Records of Measurement and certifications. Verify traceability and documentation for incoming, in‑process, and completed parts. Support production flow by working closely with operations and shipping. Assist in mentoring, training, and supporting other inspectors. Perform duties requiring lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion and 20–50 pounds occasionally. Perform other duties as required. Accepts and acts on constructive feedback. Required Qualifications High‑school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). At least 6 months experience in manufacturing and/or quality or aerospace environment. Visual acuity to accurately read micrometers, calipers, or other precision measuring instruments. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word). At least 18 years of age upon joining and subject to mandatory/random drug testing where applicable. Preferred Qualifications Understanding or ability to learn manual calipers and other measuring gauges. Demonstrated accuracy in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering documents, quality standards, and manufacturing control plans. Repairman license with ability to earn additional compensation of $1.50 per hour. Experience with manufacturing control plans. Additional Information Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds on occasion; items over 25 pounds require assistance.
