Shipping + Receiving Clerk

Without the strength of our Shipping and Receiving team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking a Shipping and Receiving Helper Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a shipping and Receiving Helper.


As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Shipping and Receiving Helper, you will assist as necessary with shipping and receiving personnel with packaging / un-packaging of product, material, and supplies. Perform general clean ups toward maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The S&R helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The S&R helper shall contribute to product conformity as part to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The S&R helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Responsible for assisting in the packaging of product for delivery / shipment.
• Responsible for assisting in the un-packaging of products or supplies.
• Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance.
• Must understand how customers' products are impacted in the event of failure.
• Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be detail oriented, organized and interact well with Management and staff.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must have direct communication with internal customers.
• Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements.
• Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent in work experience.
• Entry level position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
• Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirements.
• Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
• Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
• Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

• No travel is required for this position.
