Operations Manager

The Opportunity This is a build-and-lead role - and you won't do it alone. We don't yet have a service-manager structure in place, so part of the job is helping build it, working hand-in-hand with our General Manager. We're open to a range of backgrounds. Maybe you've built a structure like this before. Maybe you've run one really well. Or maybe you've led operations and are ready for the next step. Strong operations instincts and the drive to build something with us matter more than having done every piece before. You'll own day-to-day operations across service, the warehouse, company assets, our fleet, and develop the leadership team beneath you, and grow into full operational leadership. If that's the kind of build you want to be part of, this is the seat. What You’ll Do Lead day-to-day service operations for our drain and plumbing teams. Build and lead your management team - the Warehouse Manager, Plumbing Service Manager, and Drains Service Manager will all report to you. Oversee the warehouse, inventory, company assets, and our fleet of 24 service vans - keeping everything stocked, maintained, and accounted for. Own operating expenses, labor cost, and budget; manage the numbers and protect margin. Coach and develop technicians, and build out the service-manager / team-lead bench beneath you. Keep us safe and compliant - OSHA, codes, permits, and company standards. Track the numbers on a performance scorecard and lead a tight daily morning huddle. Partner with our Call Center and Dispatch to put the right tech on the right job, on time. Make sure every customer has a great experience, and resolve issues fast when they come up. What You Bring Operations management experience in plumbing, drain cleaning, or a related trade (HVAC, electrical, or similar service business). Experience building or running a service-manager structure is a big plus - but proven operations leadership and the drive to build one with us matter most. A coach's mindset: you build people up and hold them accountable. Strong organization, comfort with numbers, and follow-through you can count on. Comfort with field-service software (experience with ServiceTitan is a plus); EOS a plus. A valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under our policy. Must pass criminal background check and drug screen. Comfort with the physical realities of a field environment - occasional lifting, job-site visits, and being out with the crew when needed. Your Growth Path You’ll come in as our Operations Manager with the experience to hit the ground running. Your first priority is building out the service-manager structure and getting the right leaders into those seats beneath you. You’ll have support as you ramp, then run it on your own. Compensation includes step-ups once those service-manager roles are filled and running and you’re focused fully on operations. Base salary range $95,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience. Bonus Performance bonus tied to operational results, with step-ups once the service-manager roles beneath you are built and filled.
