Benefis Health System, a premier health system in Montana, is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join an established practice in Great Falls. This role offers an engaging environment with state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive team, providing excellent care to residents across north central Montana. The position emphasizes endoscopy with opportunities for additional volume and a flexible schedule, supported by a dedicated GI Hospitalist team covering all call.Practice InfoPractice serves 80,000 Great Falls residents and 275,000 residents across north central Montana.Team includes 2 traditional GI Physicians, 2 full-time GI Hospitalists, various per diem GI Hospitalists, 1 Inpatient PA-C, and 2 outpatient Advanced Practice Providers.Current Gastroenterologists spend the majority of their time in endoscopy, performing 12-16 cases/day based on preference and complexity.Clinic is located within a 5-minute walk from the endoscopy suite and is staffed full-time with an NP and a PA.Current physicians spend 1⁄2 - 1 day per week in clinic based on preference.Dedicated GI Hospitalist and PA-C take all consults and call, handling urgent/emergent cases, consults, and inpatient rounding.ResponsibilitiesPerform Colonoscopies.Perform EGDs.Perform Flexible sigmoidoscopies.Perform PEG tube placements.Opportunity for additional endoscopy volume if desired.Option to be 50% outpatient and 50% inpatient (24 weeks outpatient and 10.4 weeks of inpatient call shifts), requiring ERCP skills for this model.CompensationNationally competitive compensation structures with guaranteed salaries + productivity and performance bonuses.Generous sign-on / relocation bonus.Annual $5,000 CME + $1,000 license/dues.5-7% retirement match + 457b program.Paid malpractice + tail.Benefits8 weeks paid time off (6 PTO, 2 CME).Physician wellness programs focused on personal and professional development.Monthly meetings with highest-level physician and administrative leadership to bring ideas forward and solve issues.Shift & ScheduleHospital employed, full time, flexible schedule.NO CALL.Endoscopy is staffed M-F 7:00 am-5:00 pm.GI Hospitalist is typically in house from approximately 7 am - 4 pm on weekdays, does rounds on Saturday and procedures on Sunday in a dedicated block from 7:00 am - 12:00 pm.RequirementsBE/BC.ERCP and EUS skills are optional, but ERCP is required for the 50% outpatient/50% inpatient model.J-1 visa sponsorship available.
