About the Role:

The Assistant Chief Engineer plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Chief Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of engineering systems within the organization. This position involves overseeing engineering projects, managing technical teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to manage engineering projects and lead technical teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Experience with advanced engineering software and project management tools.
• Background in the specific industry relevant to the employer (e.g., manufacturing, utilities, transportation).
• Demonstrated success in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
