Travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Stroke Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Travel Registered Nurse for the Med Surge Stroke Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and managing critical situations commonly seen in stroke patients. The RN will work within a collaborative healthcare team, ensuring comprehensive treatment and support for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual needs.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs regularly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families about health management post-stroke.
• Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Florida state or multistate RN license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Med/Surg nursing, specifically in a stroke unit.
