Accounts Receivable Specialist

Role Our company is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This newly created role is intended to assist with the testing and implementation of a new billing system, maintain the cash application and accounts receivable processes generally to ensure accurate tracking of receivables and support ad hoc requests. To be successful in this position, you should be a results-oriented team player with previous billing, cash applications, and accounts receivable experience. The ideal candidate should also have an ownership mentality, be reliable, hands‑on and detail oriented. Responsibilities Enter cash received into billing system and track any variances Coordinate the collection process with internal partners as well as external agencies Draft correspondence for standard past‑due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent account holders to request payment. Lead the implementation of our new billing system Improve tracking and reporting of accounts receivable balances Respond to customer requests for information such as invoice copy request, account balances, etc. Support external audits as required Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience in billing, receivables and cash applications (1-3 years minimum) Considerable knowledge of cash applications and accounts receivable practices High proficiency with Microsoft Excel such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables High degree of reliability and integrity Effective communication and collaboration skills Results‑oriented self‑starter with a drive to solve problems and implement improvements Travel 2-4 times a year for team meetings Direct experience in the insurance industry – a plus Competitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match Paid time off and company holidays Collaborative and inclusive work environment with opportunities for career growth and advancement Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
