How you'll contribute AMental Health Counselor who excels in this role: Provides ASAM assessment, intakes, and counseling services to adult clients. Provides individual and family sessions., and group psychotherapy as assigned. Maintains accurate and complete records, including adequate paperwork to facilitate proper billing. Knowledgeable of ASAM levels of care and their appropriate and effective application. Maintains confidentiality of all patients, hospital, and employee related information. Delivers personalized, efficient care with respect for the individual's spiritual and cultural differences. Participates in community consultation and education as requested. Participates in facility treatment team meetings communicating clinical impressions. Compiles comprehensive patient/family history and records the data. Works to ensure effective performance and productivity maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate patients. What we're looking for The Mental Health Counselor must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required: Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population. High School Diploma or equivalent - required AA in Social Services or equivalent (90 quarter/60 semester college credits) or bachelor's degree in behavioral health sciences.
