Job Overview

Our growing non-captive Florida insurance agency is expanding our producer team with a driven Florida 2-20 Licensed Insurance Producer who wants the freedom to build, sell, and grow with real support behind them.

This remote 1099 commission-based opportunity pays 35% of agency commission on new business and 35% on renewal business produced . Producers gain access to inbound lead opportunities, a broad Florida carrier market, agency-paid systems and technology, experienced insurance support, and recurring renewal income while building their own pipeline of self-generated business.

You bring the drive to build the business. We provide the markets, technology, support, and infrastructure to help turn that effort into production.

This role focuses exclusively on personal lines property & casualty insurance , including homeowners and auto.

New producers receive structured support during the ramp-up period with the goal of helping them become confident, independent producers as quickly as possible. As they progress, producers take greater ownership of their production while continued support and mentorship remain available when needed.

Independent producers set their own schedules and determine how they develop their business while meeting established production standards and agency compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new personal lines business through networking, referrals, professional relationships, community involvement, and outbound prospecting.
• Provide excellent, responsive service to inbound and outbound leads.
• Consult with prospects to understand their insurance needs and current coverage.
• Quote and present appropriate personal lines insurance options.
• Clearly explain coverage, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and policy differences.
• Follow up consistently and move opportunities through the sales process.
• Build strong relationships with clients and referral partners.
• Maintain accurate activity and documentation within agency systems and CRM.
• Work with agency leadership and insurance support on underwriting, carrier eligibility, placement strategy, and more complex risks.
• Meet established production and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License in good standing required.
• Strong sales, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability and willingness to generate new business independently.
• Self-motivated, organized, responsive, and consistent with follow-up.
• Comfortable learning and working within multiple carrier and agency systems.
• Personal lines insurance experience preferred.
• Existing professional relationships or a strong network are a plus.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor, straight-commission opportunity with no base salary .

Producers earn 35% of agency commission on new business and 35% of agency commission on renewal business they produce .

Renewal commissions are paid in accordance with the terms of the Producer Agreement.
