Parts Inventory Control Associate - AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM North Richland Hills

Job Overview The Wholesale Parts Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining proper control of parts inventory and related administrative functions. This role includes receiving and recording new parts, managing the parts database, and ensuring a safe and secure work environment. Responsibilities Verify supplies and place orders when order-points are reached Stock items by unpacking, arranging, and placing them in bins and on shelves; adjust inventory system accordingly Inspect returned items, re-pack and re-shelve them, and return damaged or unused parts to the supplier Maintain a safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards, procedures, and code compliance Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, such as reading about new products Assist the Parts Manager in processing weekly stock orders and placing daily parts orders Ensure credits are received for returned parts and remove returned parts from inventory after credit receipt Provide necessary information to the Warranty Department to facilitate prompt filing of parts warranties Match purchase orders and invoices, approve them, and forward to the accounting office File company copies of parts counter invoices Assist in preparing for the annual parts inventory Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information One year of experience in a dealership position (preferred) Ability to interpret vendor catalogs Ability to use the parts department computer system and a calculator Excellent oral and written communication skills Benefits Competitive compensation and 401(k) matching Health, dental, vision, and maternity insurance plans Discount programs for new and pre-owned vehicles, services, parts, collision, accessories, and AutoGear Access to deals and discounts through YouDecide Equal Employment Opportunity Statement AutoNation is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment in the workplace.
