# Estates & Trusts Paralegal / Legal AssistantBregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLCFull TimemidBethesda, Maryland, USPosted Yesterday## Job Description### OverviewBregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC (BBS&G), a mid-sized law firm located in downtown Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a highly organized and detail‐oriented Estates & Trusts Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our growing Estates & Trusts practice. This role provides day‐to‐day administrative and paralegal support for estate, trust, guardianship, and fiduciary matters and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple active files.### Responsibilities* Prepare, copy, scan, and mail court filings and service packets; track and maintain proof of service.* Draft and send routine correspondence to clients, heirs, courts, and financial institutions.* Prepare exhibits and supplemental materials for probate, trust, and tax filings; e‐file and submit deeds via SimpliFile as needed.* Scan, log, and organize all incoming Estates & Trusts mail, including original court documents and checks.* Maintain electronic files, including historical estate documents, tax returns, and pre‐death invoices.* Manage Estates & Trusts calendars, tracking deadlines, hearings, and signings.* Schedule client meetings and coordinate with CPAs, financial advisors, and other professionals.* Assist with fiduciary administration by reviewing expenses, preparing checks, monitoring account balances, and reconciling accounts as needed.* Maintain the Estates & Trusts matter list and professional referral database.* Serve as a notary for client signings (MD or VA required; DC preferred).* Make bank deposits and travel to DC Superior Court Probate Division as necessary.### Qualifications* Prior experience in estates, trusts, probate, or fiduciary administration preferred.* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.* Strong written communication skills.* Familiarity with court filings and document management systems.* Notary Public (MD or VA required; DC a plus).### What We Offer* A supportive and collaborative work environment within a growing Estates & Trusts practice serving Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.* A well‐established firm founded in 1979, with nationally recognized attorneys and a strong reputation for professionalism and respect.* Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) with profit sharing; paid time off and holidays; access to an on‐site fitness facility; and paid parking in Downtown Bethesda or a Metro stipend.* A workplace recognized by The Washington Post as a Top Workplace for three consecutive years, with offices located just two blocks from the Bethesda Metro. #J-18808-Ljbffr
