Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor Schedule: MondayFriday, with occasional weekend work as needed. 1st Shift: 3:30 AM12:30 PM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM11:30 PM Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse employees and daily operations to ensure assigned departments meet business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, responsiveness, and overall performance. Key Responsibilities Supervise, counsel, and support hourly employees, addressing questions, concerns, and workplace needs as required. Manage employee performance by recognizing positive behaviors and addressing performance or conduct concerns. Utilize the Quality Network problem-solving process to identify opportunities for improvement and engage employees in developing solutions. Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve warehouse layouts, workflow, and operational efficiency. Update the Timekeeping System (TKS) daily to ensure accurate payroll processing. Use A-3 reporting to document problem-solving activities in accordance with local A-3 guidelines. Conduct daily team meetings to communicate business performance, priorities, and expectations while encouraging two-way employee communication. Perform and document weekly safety observation tours within assigned departments. Plan daily workloads and staffing requirements in advance. Collaborate with colleagues and other supervisors to optimize shift performance. Ensure compliance with applicable national and local contractual requirements. Enforce established shop rules, policies, and procedures. Perform daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audits. Continue developing leadership and technical skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process. Keep the General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of pending activities, concerns, and operational issues. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of manufacturing and/or warehouse processes and procedures. Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards. Basic math skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of the technology and equipment used within the assigned area. Knowledge of scheduling, timekeeping, and other management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when addressing complex operational issues. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees and drive performance. Ability to effectively organize workloads, manage priorities, and support shift operations. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 12 years of technical or business school training preferred. Skilled trades training or equivalent technical training preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience required.
