Sterile Processing Technician
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and processing of medical instruments and equipment. This role involves decontamination, assembly, and packaging of surgical and procedural trays. Technicians must be knowledgeable in high-level disinfection and sterilization techniques. Robotic and ultrasound experience is required. The position requires working on weekends as needed for on-call coverage. Technicians will be expected to meet productivity expectations of processing trays per shift. Experience with sterrad sterilization equipment and T-Doc tracking system is preferred. Technicians must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols are essential. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is crucial. This position does not require floating within the facility. Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system. References are required for consideration.
