Registered Nurse Labor and DeliveryJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid State License required at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Travel experience required Description: 2 years of experience required. Travel experience is required. Patient ratios are 1:2. Locals are accepted at the same rate. ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications are required. Experience with charting systems is required. Cerner EMR experience is preferred. Candidates should have previous charge experience. Candidates must have experience with patient ratios of 2. Candidates should possess skills such as the administration of blood and blood products, Amnioinfusion, and management of postpartum hemorrhage. Candidates must be able to assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections. Candidates should have knowledge of newborn assessments and breastfeeding support. Experience in managing labor and delivery cases is essential. Skill in performing sterile vaginal exams and fetal heart monitoring is required. Facility births per month typically range from 100 to 200. Candidates will potentially float within the hospital as needed. Additional interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy.
