Financial Planning Analyst

Financial Planning Analyst Location: 50 W. Liberty Street, Reno, NV 89501 Responsibilities Participate in the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and ad‑hoc analytics to drive superior decision‑making. Provide regular reporting and analysis on financial performance, including key metrics, trends, and opportunities. Identify low‑value areas and reallocate resources to provide more meaningful information for decision support. Conduct detailed analytical reviews of sales, gross margins, operating costs, and profit margins by served industries, customers and value propositions/service offerings to improve profitability and identify cost‑saving opportunities. Perform P&L analysis as directed by leadership. Leverage public and private information to develop competitive analysis and performance insights. Support month‑end close process and period financial reporting. Support the development and presentation of future investment proposals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Finance, or a related field. Two (2) years of post‑baccalaureate experience as a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related role in the transportation and logistics industry. Experience analyzing and interpreting matrixed and complex enterprise and transactional data using financial and database software platforms. Experience cleaning, transforming, and generating actionable insights using SQL. Experience automating and streamlining data analysis and calculation processes using Python. Experience applying DAX and Microsoft Applications to support financial reporting and analytics.
