Position Summary Hotel Arya is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, completing daily turnovers, servicing stayover rooms, and maintaining common areas to ensure every space is guest-ready. Whether you have previous housekeeping experience or are motivated to learn, we're looking for team members who take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, and are committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. What You'll Do Cleaning & Room Turnovers Clean and prepare guest rooms for arrivals, departures, and stayover service while meeting daily check-in deadlines. Follow established cleaning procedures and quality standards for every room without skipping steps. Perform a final self-inspection before marking each room as guest-ready. Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly to the Housekeeping Manager. Common Area Maintenance Clean and maintain hallways, common areas, and guest amenities throughout the day. Keep housekeeping carts and supply closets clean, organized, and fully stocked. Collect, sort, and transport linens according to daily operational needs. Monitor housekeeping supplies and notify management before inventory runs low. Communication & Quality Provide accurate updates on room status and task completion. Report recurring issues such as worn linens, damaged furniture, or pest concerns. Help ensure Front Desk and Operations have real-time information on room availability. Team Support Work collaboratively with housekeeping team members to meet daily turnover goals. Assist teammates during busy periods or schedule changes as needed. Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products, equipment, and lifting materials. Required Qualifications Prior housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining high-quality standards. Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Available to work a rotating five-day schedule, including Sundays. Comfortable using a mobile app or digital tool for task assignments (training provided). Basic English or Spanish communication skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and respectful of guest privacy and personal belongings. Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel, hospitality, vacation rental, or commercial housekeeping experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience using housekeeping or hotel management software. Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
