Description

• Assess and evaluate patients in inpatient or outpatient settings, creating tailored treatment programs to meet their unique needs
• Implement physical therapy treatments focused on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional performance
• Work collaboratively alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge procedures, and at-home exercises
• Document and track evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in accordance with facility protocols and legal requirements
• Engage in interdisciplinary team discussions and care rounds to promote aligned patient care

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree obtained from an accredited educational program

Certifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification desired but not mandatory
• Additional specialized certifications (such as in geriatrics or neurology) are beneficial
