Nuclear Quality Program Manager

We are seeking a Nuclear Quality Manager to join the team at the Savannah River Site (SRS). The Nuclear Quality Manager will provide leadership, maintenance and oversight of the Nuclear Quality Management System, manage day-to-day Nuclear QMS activities, and report directly to the company President. Quality Manager Responsibilities Has overall responsibility for establishing, maintaining and assuring effective implementation of the NQA-1 Quality Management System. Ensures compliance with ASME NQA-1:2019, Nuclear Quality Assurance. Ensures compliance with DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CFR 50 Appx. B, 10 CFR 830 sub. B, 10 CFR 21, and other relevant regulations. Assures governmental regulations, orders, legal, and statutory requirements are met. Ensures that indoctrination training is relevant, executed, and records of qualification and training are retained. Development and oversight of quality control processes. Ensures that receipt inspections, field inspections, and testing are effective. Supports auditors in internal and external audits. Ensures that the audit program complies with requirements, maintains audit competencies, addresses any corrective actions from the audit process in a timely manner, and verifies their effectiveness. Owns the Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Program. Reviews new and revised Quality Procedures and content to ensure compliance with changes in Nuclear Standards and other client-required standards. Engages with customers and gathers work and services feedback. Implements a continuous improvement process. Manages quality resources and coordinates quality staff to support the NQA-1 Program. Properly reports to the NRC, customer, and upper management on significant adverse conditions (SCAQ). Develops Management Review content and chairs meetings. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality, or Business. (15+) years of quality-related experience; (10+) years in the nuclear industry (DOE and DOD facilities preferred). Knowledge of NQA-1-2019 requirements. Certified as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or willing to obtain certification within the first year of hire. Knowledge or willingness to learn ISO-17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. Additional Requirements Must have a valid driver's license. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must participate in pre-employment and random drug screening programs. Subject to background screening process.
