Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their emotional and behavioral development through impactful school-based social work services. Two full-time contract opportunities are available for experienced Social Workers to join school teams in the Coal Center, PA area. These on-site positions offer the chance to deliver specialized support in established programs and directly contribute to student growth and well-being.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
- Active PA State License for Social Work
- PDE Educational Specialist certification
- Previous experience in a school environment, including emotional support and behavioral intervention programs
- Strong ability to connect with students, families, and staff
- Flexibility, organization, and excellent communication skills
What you’ll do:
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students enrolled in emotional support and partial hospitalization programs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, families, and outside agencies to create a supportive network for each student
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in creating actionable, student-centered goals
- Advocate for students’ mental health needs and work to remove barriers to educational success
- Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to privacy and compliance guidelines
