What You Will Do

  Become a Category Expert: Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned categories, including industry trends, competition, and future innovations.

\n
• \n

  Lead Strategic Sourcing: Design and implement sourcing strategies for your assigned commodities, optimizing the sourcing footprint and driving cost reduction through various methods like LCC sourcing and value engineering.

\n
• \n

  Drive Collaboration: Maintain regular communication and alignment with the extended business unit procurement team to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.

\n
• \n

  Negotiate Win-Win Deals: Lead supplier contract and price negotiations, securing optimal terms and fostering long-term partnerships.

\n
• \n

  Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies for trade working capital improvement, purchasing control, and cost analysis.

\n
• \n

  Lead Supplier Development: Actively manage the supply base, driving supplier performance and development initiatives.

\n
• \n

  Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve supplier delivery, quality, or commercial issues.

\n
• \n

  Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and analytics to optimize procurement processes and make informed "make vs. buy" decisions.

\n
• \n

  Global Impact: Collaborate with international teams to leverage purchasing opportunities across all regions in the business unit.

\n
• \n

  Deliver Results: Achieve or exceed category-related goals such as cost savings, quality improvement, and supplier rationalization.

Qualifications / Requirements:

\n
• \n

  Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

\n
• \n

  Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience with a focus on strategic sourcing.

\n
• \n

  Extensive experience in global sourcing methodologies.

\n
• \n

  Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

\n
• \n

  Strong understanding of purchasing principles and best practices.

\n
• \n

  Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis.

\n
• \n

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

\n
• \n

  Working knowledge of SAP or other equivalent ERP systems (preferred).

\n
• \n

  Previous experience in the HVAC, Engineering, Fire Safety, Security, or a related industry (a plus).

\n

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100,00-$150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
