Clinical Supervisor – Washington, D.C. Work Location: Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency 633 Indiana Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004 Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquiries, Fingerprints, and Drug Screen. Total Compensation: $50.00 per hour, Independent Contractor (1099). Type of Employment: Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Period of Performance: Five years from the date of Award. Summary of Work The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia (CSOSA) assumed the adult probation and parole supervision functions from the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. The mission of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) is to increase public safety, prevent crime, reduce recidivism, and support fair administration of justice in close collaboration with the community. CSOSA is responsible for the supervision of all probationers, those on Supervised Release, and parolees held under the authority of any United States or District of Columbia statute, or any other lawful authority and entrusted to the District. Place of Performance 633 Indiana Avenue, NW 2101 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE 1900 Massachusetts Avenue, SE 501 3rd Street, NW Hours of Operations The Clinical Supervisor’s working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Work must be performed within CSOSA hours unless otherwise approved. Qualifications Doctor of Psychology (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PSYD) from an APA-CoA-accredited college or university. Current licensure in the appropriate discipline is required. Minimum of five (5) years within the past seven years of verifiable experience as a Clinical Supervisor in a psychological program. Duties and Responsibilities The Clinical Supervisor has specialized training in behavioral health services. At a minimum, the Clinical Supervisor shall be responsible for conducting case file reviews, case file audits, crisis intervention consultations, reviewing and approving written clinical documents, and providing clinical staff oversight and continuous quality improvement, monitoring activities, and participating in the interdisciplinary team meetings. The Clinical Supervisor shall provide regular clinical supervision of all direct service staff, including face‑to‑face discussions, performance observations, clinical staffing, review of written documentation, and annual performance evaluations. This shall be evidenced by signatures as the Clinical Supervisor on at least 25% of all CSOSA cases managed by each direct staff member. Clinical Tasks Evidence‑based Individual Psychotherapy: Conduct sessions (50 minutes) to address criminogenic risks and needs. Topics, methods, frequency, and duration must align with the Clinical Report of Findings and/or referral authorization. Grief & Loss Counseling: Conduct sessions (50 minutes) to help supervisees develop coping strategies, process emotions, and restore emotional balance. Alignment with the Clinical Report of Findings and/or referral authorization required. Behavioral Health Advocacy Group: Facilitate a group to teach supervisees with significant mental health or medical challenges to understand and follow treatment regimens and advocate for themselves. Each supervisee assigned attends two sessions per week. Behavioral Health Anger Management Group: Facilitate a structured, evidence‑based intervention of 12 weekly sessions, each 90 minutes, to help supervisees explore anger causes and adopt constructive strategies. Evidence‑based Impulse Control Group: Facilitate a curriculum to help supervisees develop impulse control techniques. Groups include identifying triggers, replacing harmful patterns, understanding underlying roots of impulses, and gaining self‑awareness and self‑control.
