The company provides end-to-end services including part assembly, packaging, project management with tight deadlines, warehousing of existing tools, distribution, and specialized in-mold decorating and over molding. Pioneer Plastics serves diverse industries such as food and beverage, appliance, lawn and garden, confectionary, consumer goods, sporting goods, retail, and packaging. Role Description The Sales Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dixon, KY. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and expanding Pioneer Plastics’ presence across key industries. Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations, preparing proposals and quotes, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, negotiating contracts, monitoring market trends, and contributing to sales forecasts and strategic growth plans. The Sales Business Development Manager also participates in industry events and customer visits to strengthen partnerships and promote Pioneer Plastics’ services and proprietary products. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in B2B sales, business development, and account management within manufacturing or related industries. Experience with lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management using CRM tools and data-driven sales techniques. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills to maintain and grow long-term client partnerships. Ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to translate customer needs into feasible solutions. Solid understanding of plastics manufacturing processes is important; experience in injection molding is even better. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear proposals and deliver persuasive presentations. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects, tight deadlines, and detailed follow-up activities. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Comfort with on-site work in Dixon, KY and willingness to travel to customer locations and industry events as needed. Pay based on experience.
