Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant at Morning Star Academy will be a key player in our school's operations, balancing essential office responsibilities with dynamic support for our teaching staff. This role requires a versatile individual with strong bookkeeping skills, proficiency in office management tasks, and the flexibility to float between classrooms to provide teacher breaks.

General Accountabilities:

• Schedules & executes the scholastic book fair (fall & spring)
• Ensures the accuracy of student immunization records for the annual audit, as well as communicates with parents when immunizations are out-of-date
• Cafeteria monitor – helps when needed to clean tables, log lunches in monitor, serve children
• Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications
• Assists in researching and developing resources that create timely and efficient workflow
• Assists in the systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
• Substitutes in classes as needed
