Back Office Medical Assistant

Insight Global is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support a busy colorectal surgery practice in Roseville, CA. This individual will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care, assist with examinations and minor procedures, obtain patient vitals, maintain clinical areas, and ensure exam rooms are appropriately stocked and prepared for patient visits. This is a hands-on clinical role within a colon and rectal surgery practice and requires comfort working in a surgical specialty environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with patient care, examinations, and minor procedures.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms for patient visits.
• Keep clinical areas, exam rooms, and common patient areas clean and organized.
• Stock medical supplies and notify leadership when inventory is low.
• Properly prepare biopsy specimens for laboratory pickup.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly clinical logs and documentation.
• Assist with phones and front office duties as needed.
• Support patients in a colorectal surgery setting, including exposure to bodily fluids and other aspects of direct patient care.
