Registered Nurse (RN) Resource Pool

Job Overview Registered Nurse for the Resource Pool at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA. Position requires a third (night) shift, including a flexible night component. Location and Shift Hampton, VA. Shift: Third (Nights) / Night – Flexi. License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi‑State RN license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. Education RN – Associate’s Degree RN – Bachelor’s Degree RN – Diploma RN – Master’s Degree Experience and Responsibilities

• 18+ months of recent experience in the RN specialty area (e.g., ICU, OR, etc.) required for the Resource Pool.
• Participate in the Nursing Care Partners program according to the Sentara Nursing Care Partner Job Profile.
• Assess and admit patients, perform rounds, administer medications, communicate with families, and provide overall patient care.
• Work assigned shifts across all units within the chosen division.

Work Requirements

• Facility supported; nurses must work assigned shifts in all units in the division of choice.
• Flexi – Hours: Enter at least 24 hours prescheduled per calendar month. Of those, schedule 8 hours on a weekend shift and 8 hours on an off‑shift.
