Staff Accountant

Renowned Recruitment Group Baton Rouge, LA Our client is a retail company in the Baton Rouge area looking to add a talented Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant will report into the Accounting Manager and will offer a hybrid schedule after a training period. This person will be responsible for supporting general accounting responsibilities and processing full-cycle payroll. Primary Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and assist with the automation of the company's accounting processes Support the system implementation process to NetSuite Manage and prepare monthly income and balance sheet accounts and verify reports to ensure proper monthly financial statement preparation Process payroll for all retail location staff Prepare sales tax reports and ensure payments are completed in a timely manner Provide support for internal and external audit processes Other duties as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 4+ years of experience in general/corporate accounting, finance or related field Prior experience using NetSuite or Quickbooks software required Prior experience using ADP required Implementation experience required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience using Excel (mid to high-level) Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Retail Apparel and Fashion #J-18808-Ljbffr
