Endurance Operating is a growing oil and gas operating company supporting well operations and the development of lithium resources. As we build the company and its operating infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced accounting professional who can take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function and help establish strong processes from the beginning.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, solving problems, and managing the details required to keep the financial side of an operating company organized and accurate.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant / Full-Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities of Endurance Operating, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, reconciliations, expense coding, vendor management, and financial reporting support.

Because Endurance operates in the oil and gas industry, this position may also support well-level accounting, AFE tracking, operating expenses, and owner/partner reporting.

This position will work closely with company management and outside accounting/tax resources and will play an important role in developing accounting procedures and controls as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
• Maintain an accurate and complete general ledger
• Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment
• Review invoices for proper approval, coding, well/AFE assignment, and supporting documentation
• Maintain vendor records and assist with new vendor setup
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment tracking
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries and month-end adjustments
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial close
• Prepare routine financial reports for management
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with cash flow tracking and payment planning
• Coordinate with payroll/HR administration as needed for payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations
• Support annual tax preparation, audits, insurance reporting, and other financial reporting requirements
• Assist management with budgets, forecasts, and actual-to-budget reporting

Oil & Gas / Operational Accounting

• Track revenue and expenses by well, project, AFE, and appropriate cost category
• Maintain accurate well-level cost records
• Support AFE tracking and actual-to-budget reporting
• Track working interests, ownership allocations, and partner billings as applicable
• Maintain appropriate documentation for operating well expenditures
• Assist with allocation of operating expenses among wells, owners, and projects
• Review vendor invoices for appropriate operational and accounting coding
• Maintain documentation necessary to support owner inquiries, audits, and billing reviews
• Assist with reconciliation of owner receivables/payables and joint interest accounts
• Coordinate with operations personnel to ensure field costs are captured accurately and timely

 

Required Qualifications

· 7+ years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, MBA preferred

· Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, AP, AR, and reconciliations

· Experience managing month-end accounting processes

· Strong Excel skills

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Ability to independently research and resolve accounting discrepancies

· Strong organizational and documentation skills

· Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

· Comfortable working in a growing company where processes are still being developed
